Frequently asked questions
What is Bearing?
Bearing is a tool for exploring things that might apply to you, testing them in everyday life, and learning from what happens. In this early pilot, you’ll follow guided tests and record a few short check-ins. We’re learning whether this approach is useful; observations don’t prove what caused a change.
Who is it for?
Bearing is being built first for AuDHD minds, as well as people curious about whether ADHD and autistic patterns may be relevant to their experience. You don’t need a diagnosis. The current pilot is for people aged 18 or over who live in the UK, with access reviewed by Jamie.
Where do the ideas come from?
Bearing’s approach is intended to draw on existing research. Research can suggest possibilities to explore; it does not validate Bearing or establish what applies to an individual. This pilot is testing the feasibility and usability of repeated check-ins, not whether an intervention is effective.
Is Bearing a diagnostic tool?
No. Bearing does not diagnose ADHD, autism or any other condition.
Is this medical advice?
No. Bearing is not medical advice.
Does Bearing replace other support?
No. Bearing is designed to complement the support you use or may choose to use. That may include clinical, coaching or other support.
Will Bearing tell me what I should do next?
Not in this early pilot. We’re testing whether the approach is useful before deciding what comes next.
What is AuDHD?
AuDHD is an informal term people use to describe the experience of both ADHD and autism. It isn’t a separate diagnosis, and recognising something in that description doesn’t establish a diagnosis.
